Chelo’ona Stah “Turtle Heart” was a Quadling glass blower and prophet from Ovvels, Quadling Country.

History

He came to Munchkinland after the Ozma Regent’s army had flattened his home in Quadling Country. He came across Melena Thropp in the village of Rush Margins when Elphaba was very young.

He, Melena, and her husband Frexspar shared a sexual relationship, and because of this, he had been thought of as the possible father of Melena's second child, Nessarose.

Turtle Heart and the family relocate back to Colwen Grounds for a brief time before Nesserose’s birth and Turtle Heart is ultimately sacrificed by the Munchkinlander populace thinking his death would end the long drought that had been plaguing Munchkinland. The guilt of this led Melena and Frex to become missionaries to Quadling Country and to attempt to seek out his original kin.

Description

Turtle Heart was described by Melena as shy, with skin like roses at twilight and sunset red hair. He was very handsome with large ankles and thick feet and neck. His waist and shoulders were slender.
